John B. Holzhey

John served as Master in 1986 during a time of severe unrest among members. Masonic trails bylaw changes were all part of his year as Master. His friendly personality helped mend the lodge back together.

John and his wife Cecelia have served the community by their dedication to helping the less fortunate.

John is a prior past president of NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill of Nebraska). John currently serves on the Youth Council of the Greater Omaha Workforce Investment Board.

His dedication to Nebraska Lodge is second to none. He has served as Secretary, Treasurer and twice as Master the lodge.

His timeliness over the years has not improved as his fellow Past Master’s still refer to him in loving terms: “John’s Time” or “Not in John’s Time”, referring to an event Never Happening!

John served his country and at one time thought of a US Naval career, however due to his lack of stability ‘Sea Legs’ when onboard any vessel his aspiration was cut short.
