Known for his ability to keep you on the phone, his fellow Past Masters gave Lyle the name of Windy Ward.
Lyle was the most unselfish Mason in our Lodge, Helping numerous brothers in their time of need.
During Lyle's year as Master Lyle unsuccessfully tried to get the West Omaha Masonic Center to buy an elevator for the aging members. Though he was unsuccessful at the time, he was the major reason the elevator was built in 2001. He contributed more than half the funds needed to build the elevator and renovate the building.
Lyle died in 2004 leaving a contribution to Nebraska Lodge. Pepper Aasgaard, with the approval of the membership setup a Memorial fund. Only sixty percent of the prior year’s interest can be used by the lodge and if it is not used, it cannot be used in the future, it is rolled over back into in the fund. This insures that future generations will benefit from this giving Past Master. Please Visit: Lyle F. Ward a Great Mason!
